PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It took nearly 18 months but Corinne Blue is now facing mulitple charges after she plowed into three PBSO Deputies running a speed control operation on Southern Boulevard. It happened on November 21, 2024. Said Sheriff Ric Bradshaw at the time:

“On November 21, 2024, a devastating accident occurred at 9:15 am. While conducting traffic enforcement Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller, and Deputy Sheriff Ignacio “Dan” Diaz, were struck by a vehicle on the roadside. The severity of their injuries were catastrophic and Corporal Paez and Deputy Waller succumbed to their injuries shortly after their arrival at the hospital. Deputy Diaz, fought for his life for four days before passing on November 25, 2024.”

PBSO issued this statement just after the State Attorney’s Office filed charges stemming from the crash on Thursday:

“The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office continues to grieve the profound loss of our three motor deputies who were tragically killed on November 21, 2024 and November 25, 2024, in a devastating crash caused by a Corrinne Blue. Their service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our community will never be forgotten.

Today’s announcement by the State Attorney’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol that the driver has been charged with three counts of Vehicular Homicide marks an important step in the judicial process. While no legal outcome can ever replace the lives lost or ease the pain felt by their families, loved ones, and our agency, we remain committed to seeing this case through the justice system. This tragedy serves as a solemn reminder of the very real and deadly consequences of distracted driving. We urge every driver to remain focused behind the wheel because one moment of inattention can change lives forever. We continue to stand with the families of our fallen deputies and honor their legacy through our service each and every day.”

It routinely takes a year in Florida for traffic homicide investigation to be completed. When it involves police, it often takes longer. We will update our reporting once we receive the arrest report.
