BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A New York woman was arrested after allegedly attempting to shoplift hundreds of dollars’ worth of merchandise from Nordstrom Rack in Boca Raton, according to police records.
The incident occurred April 30 at the store on Glades Road, where loss prevention personnel reported observing the woman selecting items and concealing them in a bag while moving through the sales floor. Investigators say she passed multiple points of sale without paying and exited the store before being stopped.
Police say the merchandise, valued at more than $350, was recovered and included clothing, accessories, and other retail items. During the investigation, the woman allegedly admitted to the theft after being advised of her rights. Authorities also reported finding tools believed to be used to remove security tags from merchandise.

The woman was arrested on charges including retail theft and possession of an anti-shoplifting device. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released pending a court date.
