”The Delray Beach Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with online threats made Saturday targeting Delray Medical Center and Pinecrest Rehabilitation Center.

After the threats were discovered, Delray Medical Center was placed on lockdown as a precaution while officers worked with hospital security and law enforcement partners to assess the situation.

The suspect, Christopher Austin, 47, was located and arrested in North Carolina with the assistance of the High Point Police Department. Austin is accused of making the online threats and was arrested on a charge of written threats to kill or do bodily harm. There were no injuries to patients, staff, or visitors.”

Multiple tipsters reported a huge police presence at the hospital, but patient care was not affected.
