Pompano Beach Teens Now Charged With First Degree Murder…

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 19-year-old man is dead and another is recovering after a late-night shooting in North Lauderdale, and four suspects — including a pair of brothers — are now facing first-degree murder charges. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. on Friday, May 8, near the 7900 block of Southwest Seventh Court, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
O’Mari Doe, 19, and Maurice Vorroto, 20, of Coconut Creek, were among four people sitting inside a 2020 Ford Mustang when a group arrived in a black vehicle and opened fire. Doe was struck by multiple gunshots and was airlifted by BSO Fire Rescue Air Rescue to Broward Health North, where he was later pronounced dead. Vorroto was also struck by a single gunshot, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Detectives say the suspects — Aamir Adams, 19, and Anthony Adams, 18, both of the Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale area, along with two juvenile males ages 15 and 16 — arrived at the scene, exited a black Honda Accord armed with handguns, and fired multiple shots into the Mustang before fleeing. A Fort Lauderdale Police Department officer later spotted the vehicle, a pursuit followed, and all four suspects bailed near the 900 block of Southwest 13th Street in Fort Lauderdale. They were all captured, and firearms were recovered from inside the car.
Each of the four suspects faces one count of premeditated first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder, along with additional charges.
