LAKE WORTH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A suspect wanted in connection with a 2023 homicide at the Lake Worth Tri-Rail Station has been extradited back to Palm Beach County after more than two years in El Salvador, authorities said.
On October 22, 2023, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division began looking into a missing adult female. As detectives dug deeper, they suspected foul play and brought in the Violent Crimes Division Homicide Unit. The investigation led them to the Lake Worth Tri-Rail Station, where a parked vehicle was found with a deceased woman inside — identified as Eullaia Castellon, born August 21, 1991.
Jose Castellon Jimenez, born August 5, 1982, was identified as the suspect in her death. Detectives learned he fled to El Salvador the same day as the homicide. He was located and arrested there on April 25, 2024, and extradition proceedings were initiated through Interpol. On Tuesday, May 13, 2026, Castellon Jimenez was returned to Palm Beach County.
Jimenez had not been booked into the Palm Beach County Jail as of 4:10 p.m. Wednesday.
