Fast Acting Cops Stop Man Allegedly Pummeling Naked Woman

PBSO Deputies Heroically Rescue Woman…

PBSO Deputies rescued a woman who they say was being violently attacked by a man.

WELLINGTON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County man is facing multiple charges after deputies responding to a frantic 911 call arrived at his home to find him standing over a partially nude woman lying on the floor in a fetal position, covered in visible bruising and injuries. Charles Reis, 50, of Wellington, was taken into custody after a witness told deputies she had watched him pick the woman up, slam her onto the concrete ground, and drag her back into the residence by her hair and neck while she screamed for help.

According to a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, a deputy approaching the home could hear a male yelling aggressively and a woman crying and pleading from inside before entering. Upon entry, the deputy found Reis standing over the victim, yelling at her while she remained on the floor crying. The arrest report noted multiple holes punched in the interior walls of the home and a rifle with a blade affixed near the muzzle hanging on the wall near the incident area. Reis allegedly actively resisted arrest, refusing repeated commands to place his hands behind his back. He was subdued using “distractionary” strikes and “elbow strikes” before being handcuffed. He was also found to be in possession of the victim’s cellular phone after his arrest.

The victim told deputies the altercation began after the couple returned home from Bradley’s Bar having consumed alcohol. According to the arrest report, she stated Reis became enraged while attempting to use a rideshare pickup application on his phone and subsequently began physically striking her as she repeatedly pleaded with him to stop. She told deputies she could not remember portions of the assault, including events that occurred outside the residence, and that this was not the first time Reis had physically assaulted her, advising she had previously documented prior incidents.
