LAKE WORTH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 66-year-old West Palm Beach motorcyclist has died from injuries he suffered in a Lake Worth Beach crash earlier this week, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said late Sunday afternoon.
John Dudley Dey was riding a 2007 Triumph Speedmaster southbound on North Dixie Highway around 11:04 a.m. Thursday when a 2014 Hyundai Elantra heading the opposite direction turned left into his path at 13th Avenue North, according to PBSO in a statement to BocaNewsNow.com. The front of Dey’s motorcycle struck the right-center portion of the Hyundai. Dey was wearing a helmet according to investigators.
Dey was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:56 p.m. Saturday, two days after the wreck. The driver of the Hyundai — 24-year-old Jacqueline Rebecca Ruth of Lake Worth — was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
Deputies said Dey’s next of kin have been notified. The investigation continues.
