
UPDATE 5:45 p.m. — A crime scene van remains on location behind the hotel and police are on the scene. We have not yet received an official statement from Boca Raton Police. We note that this isn’t out of the ordinary for a death in a location like a hotel and does not necessarily mean foul play.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A person was found dead Sunday afternoon at the Renaissance Hotel near Boca Raton Town Center Mall. The hotel is located at 2000 NW 19th Street.
Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that the person was found dead in a room in the hotel. It was not immediately clear if the person died from natural causes or if the death is suspicious. There is no crime scene established at the hotel and police are not arriving en masse.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue rushed to the scene after 2 p.m. There was apparently nothing paramedics could do for the person.
