UPDATE 11:16 a.m. — FDOT tells us that I75 just reopened.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A truck fire overnight has led to the closure of I-75/Alligator Alley at Snake Road. The closure is several hours old but continuing to cause significant traffic issues in the area. If you are heading to Fort Myers, Tampa, or Sarasota, this affects you.

All traffic is being routed off at Snake Road. The scene itself is nearly ten miles from that off-ramp. FDOT cameras show the burned out remains of what appears to be a flat-bed truck. It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the fire.
