With thanks to Palm Beach County and FDOT, here is the BocaNewsNow.com weekly look at what you may want to avoid over the next several days:

95 Interchange & Turnpike Projects

  • S.R. 9/I-95 at Boynton Beach Blvd Interchange: Ongoing bridge widening and ramp construction through late 2026. Expect nightly lane reductions in each direction on I-95, traffic shifts on the southbound entrance ramp, and intermittent nightly closures of the northbound/southbound exit ramps and northbound/southbound entrance ramps with active detours.
  • S.R. 9/I-95 Ramps Safety Improvement: Nightly ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9. The northbound off-ramp to westbound Indiantown Rd and the southbound off-ramp to eastbound Indiantown Rd will close sequentially for paving operations with detours in place.
  • S.R. 91/Florida’s Turnpike Widening: Nightly single lane closures will affect S.R. 704/Okeechobee Blvd (between Vista Parkway and West Drive) and Florida’s Turnpike (between Jog Rd and Okeechobee Blvd). Additionally, the northbound Turnpike off-ramp to Okeechobee Blvd will close nightly from June 7 to June 9, detouring traffic via Jog Rd.

Boca Raton

  • N. Military Trail: Underground utility work causes periodic daytime and nighttime lane closures from 40th Street to Hillsboro Canal, alongside a separate periodic northbound right lane closure north of Yamato Road.
  • S. Military Trail at N.W. 19th Street: A turn lane extension project and separate driveway connection work will cause regular north, south, and eastbound lane and turn-lane closures.
  • Clint Moore Road: Expect periodic lane closures between S. Military Trail and Park of Commerce Blvd, as well as 1,045 feet east of Congress Avenue due to utility and FPL pole work.
  • N. Military Trail & Spanish River Boulevard: Periodic northbound right lane closures are expected for utility installations.
  • Yamato Road at Boca West Drive: FPL utility installations will cause periodic eastbound right lane closures.

Boynton Beach

  • S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard Resurfacing: Outside single lane closures occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday) between Orchid Grove Trail and Palm Isles Drive for striping and electrical work.
  • High Ridge Road & Hypoluxo Road: Utility installations will cause periodic northbound lane closures with flaggers near Miner Road and eastbound right lane closures near I-95.
  • N./S. Seacrest Boulevard: Expect periodic lane closures in various sections between NW 19th Avenue and Gateway Boulevard, near NW 4th Avenue, and from SE 27th Avenue to SW/SE 23rd Avenue for FPL utility work.
  • S. Congress Avenue: Regular southbound right lane closures will occur near Ocean Drive and from Golf Road to Woolbright Road, alongside northbound right lane closures near SW 30th Avenue and Golf Road.
  • Old Boynton Road: Traffic shifts and right lane closures are scheduled at the W. Boynton Beach Blvd intersection and just east of S. Military Trail.
  • S.E. 23rd Avenue: Westbound lane closures with flaggers will take place from S.E. 3rd Street to Federal Highway.
  • Acme Dairy Road: A northbound right lane closure with a temporary signal is in place north of Boynton Beach Blvd.

Delray Beach

  • S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction: Widening operations from west of U.S. 441/S.R. 7 to east of Florida’s Turnpike will prompt daily and nightly lane closures on S.R. 7 and Atlantic Avenue. Notably, the northbound sidewalk from Atlantic Ave to Saturnia Isles Blvd is closed, and one westbound left-turn lane between Mulvehill Rd and S.R. 7 is permanently closed until widening is complete.
  • Lake Ida Road: Expect periodic eastbound right lane closures from Davis Road to Congress Avenue, general lane closures from Hagen Ranch Road to Congress Avenue, and a westbound right lane closure west of Swinton Avenue.
  • S. Congress Avenue: Periodic double nighttime lane closures are scheduled 500 feet south of S.W. 20th Terrace, with separate nighttime double lane closures active south of Lowson Boulevard.
  • W. Linton Boulevard: Underground utility and FPL pole replacements will cause periodic westbound right lane closures at Catherine Drive and west of S.W. 4th Avenue.

Greenacres & Palm Springs

  • S.R. 802/Lake Worth Road (at S Jog Road): A single eastbound lane will close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 8, for sign installation. S. Jog Road will also see periodic southbound and northbound right lane closures at this intersection.
  • Summit Boulevard (Greenacres): Underground utility work will cause periodic east and west bound lane closures east of Florida Mango Road.
  • Sherwood Forest Boulevard: Pavement markings and utility work will cause periodic lane closures from Lake Worth Road to Forest Hill Blvd, including a southbound traffic shift south of Purdy Lane.
  • 10th Avenue North: Periodic right lane closures will affect areas near John I. Leonard High School, Fleming Avenue, and Sherwood Forest Blvd.
  • Florida Mango Road (Palm Springs): Expect a periodic southbound right turn lane closure from 10th Avenue North extending 300 feet north.
  • S. Military Trail: FPL pole installations will cause periodic southbound right lane closures south of Canal 14th Road.

Lake Worth Beach, Atlantis & Lantana

  • S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (Lake Worth Beach to Palm Beach): Roadway milling and widening will require daily (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and nightly (8 p.m. – 7 a.m.) flagging operations. A temporary pedestrian detour route is active throughout the work zone.
  • 6th Avenue South (Lake Worth Beach): Utility work will prompt a periodic westbound right lane closure east of South A Street.
  • S. Military Trail (Atlantis): FPL underground utility installations will trigger periodic north and southbound lane closures from N. Country Club to Dow Lane and from Tall Pines Drive to Meadow Green Trail.
  • Lantana Road & Hypoluxo Road (Lantana/District 2): Multiple FPL and utility projects will cause periodic lane closures on Lantana Road (from Lyons Rd to Aquarius Blvd and near Edgecliff Ave) and a westbound right lane closure on Hypoluxo Road at Florida Drive.

West Palm Beach & Loxahatchee

  • S.R. 5/U.S. 1 Resurfacing: Intermittent single lane closures will occur in each direction from Belvedere Road to south of Okeechobee Boulevard, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m., for concrete work.
  • S.R. 809/N Military Trail (at Summit Blvd): One northbound lane will close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 9 through Thursday, June 11, for sign installation.
  • Lakeview Avenue: Westbound Lakeview Ave from Quadrille Blvd to Rosemary Ave will have one lane closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Monday, June 8.
  • S. Australian Avenue: Expect periodic lane closures from I-95 to Okeechobee Blvd, a northbound right turn lane closure south of Mercer Ave, and separate lane closures between 25th and 43rd Streets.
  • Roebuck Road: Day and nighttime lane closures are active from Jog Road to Haverhill Road for ADA improvements.
  • Belvedere Road: Expect east and westbound lane closures from Skees Road to Cleary Road for Turnpike work, and separate nighttime double lane closures east of SR 7.
  • N. Congress Avenue: A southbound right lane closure is in place 3,700 feet north of Presidential Way for lift station replacement.
  • Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard: FPL utility work will cause a periodic southbound right turn lane and right lane closure just north of Okeechobee Blvd.

Palm Beach & North Palm Beach

  • S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (Town of Palm Beach): Decorative mast arm installations and concrete work will cause daytime lane closures and flagging from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Portions of the sidewalk are closed with pedestrian detours.
  • U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Earman River Bridge Replacement (North Palm Beach): Southbound bridge traffic is shifted entirely onto the northbound bridge layout until Spring 2027. The Earman River marine channel is completely closed to watercraft.
  • Northlake Boulevard: Expect periodic westbound right lane closures from Northlake Drive to Flagler Blvd and past Prosperity Farms Road due to ongoing utility construction.

Riviera Beach & Lake Park

  • U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Roadway Improvements: Outside or inside lane closures will occur in each direction from 59th Street to Northlake Blvd (9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. – 7 a.m., Monday through Friday). The sidewalk along northbound U.S. 1 from Access Road to W 11th Street is closed through June 2026.
  • President Barack Obama Highway: Gas main installations will prompt periodic southbound right lane closures from W. 11th Street to W. 4th Street and from W. Blue Heron Blvd to W. 28th Street.
  • Northlake Boulevard at N. Military Trail: FPL operations will cause periodic moving eastbound/westbound right lane closures and left-turn closures on intersecting roads.

Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter & Northern Towns

  • S.R. 786/PGA Boulevard: Pavement marking installations will close one eastbound or westbound lane nightly (9 p.m. – 4 a.m.) from Sunday, June 7 through Thursday, June 11, between S.R. 710 and Shady Lakes Drive.
  • Northlake Boulevard (Palm Beach Gardens): Water main installations will cause periodic eastbound right lane closures from Bay Hill Drive extending 980 feet east.
  • Central Boulevard & Hood Road (Jupiter): Expect periodic lane closures with flaggers controlling traffic for pavement markings and traffic circle maintenance.
  • W. Indiantown Road (Jupiter): FPL utility work will prompt a periodic westbound right lane closure west of Trailwood Circle.
  • Center Street (Jupiter): Resurfacing operations will cause a periodic westbound traffic shift east of Loxahatchee Drive.
  • Donald Ross Road (Juno Beach): A driveway connection project will cause a periodic eastbound right lane closure west of US Highway 1.

Wellington, Royal Palm Beach & Western County

  • S.R. 7/U.S. 441 (Royal Palm Beach): One lane will close in each direction from Okeechobee Blvd to 60th Street from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 7, and Monday, June 8.
  • S.R. 7/U.S. 441 at S.R. 802/Lake Worth Road: Earthwork operations will intermittently close the northbound outside right lane from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The main entrance/exit of the shopping plaza along northbound S.R. 7 will be closed continuously this week; use the Lake Worth Road plaza access instead.
  • S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard & S.R. 7 Ramps: Bridge widening will cause intermittent single lane closures along S.R. 7, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The northbound right-turn ramp to eastbound S.R. 80 and the nearby northeast/southeast sidewalks are closed continuously.
  • U.S. 27/S.R. 25 Reservoir Project: Intermittent single lane closures will occur Monday through Friday (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) 27 miles north of the I-75 interchange. Mainline traffic is shifted east, and the speed limit is reduced to 55 mph.
  • S.R. 700/Conners Highway: Conners Highway is entirely closed from Hatton Highway to S.R. 80/U.S. 98 for slope and embankment repairs. Detour routes are heavily signed along Hatton Highway and S.R. 80.
  • S.W. Avenue G (City of Belle Glade): Underground utility work will cause a periodic eastbound right lane closure from S.E. 4th Street to S.E. 6th Street.

Central/Unincorporated Palm Beach County Lanes

  • SW 66th Avenue (Sandalfoot Blvd Area): Southbound SW 66th Avenue is completely closed south of Sandalfoot Blvd for gravity main installations. Traffic is detoured via US 441 and SW 18th Street.
  • Haverhill Road & Jog Road Thermoplastic/Markings: Periodic lane closures are active on Lyons Road (Boynton Beach Blvd to Hypoluxo Rd), Haverhill Road (Okeechobee Blvd to 22nd Place), and Jog Road (Okeechobee Blvd to Roebuck Rd).
  • Seminole Pratt Whitney Road: Multiple culvert and median installation sites between Southern Blvd and 86th Road North will cause active northbound lane closures, southbound left-turn lane closures, and sudden traffic shifts.
