Crash Involves Truck Leaving Pero Family Farms.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — PBSO Wednesday afternoon released new details from the late Tuesday morning crash along U.S. Highway 441 in the area of Pero Family Farms in Delray Beach. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 14000 block of U.S. Highway 441 (State Road 7) at approximately 10:32 a.m., according to a statement issued to BocaNewsNow.com.
A 2023 Peterbilt 567 tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound from the Pero Family Farms entrance when the driver attempted a left turn to head northbound on 441. Due to the length of the commercial vehicle, the rear of the truck remained partially protruding into the inside southbound travel lane. A 2023 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound in that same lane when the front left portion of the car struck the rear left portion of the tractor-trailer.
The impact sent the Sonata in a southeast direction, across the center median, through the northbound travel lanes, and into the guardrail along the eastern shoulder. The vehicle came to final rest partially within the bicycle lane and northbound right-turn lane. A passenger in the Peterbilt, from Boynton Beach, was uninjured. The Sonata’s driver sustained critical injuries.
The driver of the Sonata, Fabiana Natalia Torres Motta of Greenacres, was transported to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries, according to the PBSO report. The driver of the truck is identified as Guerre Yves Destouches of Lake Worth.
