
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Hialeah Gardens man died Saturday evening after the pickup truck he was driving veered off a the road and slammed into the rear of a parked semi-trailer, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in a statement to BocaNewsNow.com.
The crash happened at approximately 5:27 p.m. on June 13 at 16100 S. US Highway 27 in Belle Glade. Investigators say Oscar Vidal Arroliga, 64, of Hialeah Gardens, was driving a 2006 Nissan pickup southbound on US-27 when, for unknown reasons, he drove onto the western shoulder of the road. A 2006 Volvo semi had been parked there due to mechanical issues.
The front of Arroliga’s truck struck the rear trailer of the Volvo. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges were immediately listed in the sheriff’s report.
