BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is facing multiple felony charges after deputies say he bombarded his ex-girlfriend with dozens of phone calls and a string of threatening Instagram messages, warning her he would slit her throat and burn down her house.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Lucas Kaya Nalu Villeza after the alleged victim said Villeza showed up at her Scenic Turn home uninvited, got angry after learning she’d been spending time with a male neighbor, and then unleashed a barrage of calls and messages after she locked him out and called police.
According to the probable cause affidavit reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the woman received roughly 26 phone calls from Villeza over the course of several hours, plus a huge number of messages from his Instagram account threatening to “f***ing light your whole house on fire” and telling her to “answer the f***ing phone or you’re getting stabbed in your f***ing sleep tonight.”
In another message, Villeza allegedly wrote that she had “24 hours to respond” or he would burn down her entire neighborhood. The victim told investigators she feared for her safety and that of her two young children living with her, citing Villeza’s escalating behavior and his past struggles with methamphetamine use, which she said she wasn’t sure had resumed.
Deputies say the woman also provided a video Villeza had posted of himself outside her home, yelling and challenging her neighbor to fight. Investigators later tracked Villeza down at the Scenic Turn address, detained him, and read him his Miranda rights. According to the arrest report, Villeza admitted to going to the victim’s residence, confirmed the Instagram account used to send the threats was his, and acknowledged making the comments about burning her house down and slitting her throat — but claimed he didn’t mean it and was only venting out of anger after learning she might be seeing someone else.
