COCONUT CREEK, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Don’t panic. If you see a huge amount of police activity today near a school in Coconut Creek, it’s training. The Coconut Creek Police Department and several other agencies are taking part in the training which started at 7 a.m.

Coconut Creek Police have been alerting to the training for several days. If you missed it, here’s what you need to know:

“We will be conducting a Critical Incident & Response Training from 7 AM – 3 PM at Monarch HS on Thurs, June 18. If you’re near the school, you’ll likely see lots of police, fire trucks, & maybe even a helicopter over the school. Don’t be alarmed as it’s all part of our plan.”

The school is located at 5050 Wiles Road in Coconut Creek.
