Road Work — Expect major traffic issues this week as construction projects engulf I-95, 441, the Florida Turnpike, and several other roads across Palm Beach County.

Road work is reaching a level that can really only be described as “stay home.” With our weekly thanks to FDOT and Palm Beach County, here is the exceptionally long list of projects that will add time to your drive:

Interstate 95 & Florida’s Turnpike Impacts

I-95 at S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange:
- I-95 Southbound Deceleration Lane: The outside deceleration lane approaching the Boynton Beach Boulevard exit ramp is closed through late 2026 for widening. One deceleration lane remains open. The exit ramp itself maintains its regular configuration.
- Nightly Mainline Closures: One lane of I-95 may be closed in each direction starting at 8 p.m. Up to three lanes can close from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Thursday night. A fourth lane may be closed overnight if needed.
- I-95 Southbound Entrance Ramp: Temporary barrier walls are in place through late 2026. Traffic is slightly shifted. Nightly single-lane closures may occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
- Full Nightly Ramp Closures (9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday – Thursday; only one ramp closed at a time):
  - Northbound Exit Ramp to Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via Woolbright Road, east to U.S. 1, and north to Boynton Beach Blvd.
  - Southbound Exit Ramp to Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via Gateway Boulevard, east to U.S. 1, and south to Boynton Beach Blvd.
  - Northbound Entrance Ramp from Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via U.S. 1 east or Congress Avenue west, then north to Gateway Boulevard.
  - Southbound Entrance Ramp from Boynton Beach Blvd: Detour via U.S. 1 east or Congress Avenue west, then south to Woolbright Road.
I-95 at Gateway Boulevard (Boynton Beach): Westbound Gateway Boulevard overpass at I-95 will have one lane closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, for bridge repairs.
I-95 at S.R. 882/Forest Hill Boulevard (West Palm Beach): Northbound I-95 will have one lane closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 31, for barrier wall construction.
Florida’s Turnpike Widening (Southern Blvd to Okeechobee Blvd): Northbound and southbound Jog Road between north of Belvedere Road and Meathe Drive will experience single-lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 19.
Florida’s Turnpike at Beeline Highway (S.R. 710 Overpass): One lane closed in each direction Sunday night (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and Monday through Thursday nights (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.) through June 2026. Southbound mainline lanes are temporarily shifted to the median until Fall 2026.

Boca Raton

N. Dixie Highway (South of N.E. 14th Ave): Periodic northbound right lane closure for underground utility work.
N. Military Trail at N.W. 19th St: Periodic northbound right lane closure for driveway connection work.
N. Dixie Highway (Glades Road to south of N.E. 15th St): Periodic northbound right lane closure for underground utility work.
N. Military Trail (40th St to Hillsboro Canal): Periodic daytime and nighttime lane closures for underground utility work.
S. Military Trail at N.W. 19th St: Northbound and southbound lane closures for left-turn lane extension.
N. Military Trail and Spanish River Boulevard: Periodic northbound right lane closure for underground utility work.
Clint Moore Road (S. Military Trail to east of Park of Commerce Blvd): Periodic east and westbound right lane closures for FPL underground utility work.

Boynton Beach & Golf Village

Boynton Beach Boulevard Traffic Impacts (At I-95 Interchange):
- Lane Reduction: Eastbound Boynton Beach Boulevard from west of NW 8th Street to east of W. Industrial Avenue is reduced from three lanes to two through late 2026.
- NW 8th Street: The northbound outside turn lane at Boynton Beach Blvd is closed; only one lane remains open for all movements.
- Nightly Closures: Single lane closures in each direction from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Saturday night.
- Turn Lane Closure: The westbound turn lane to the I-95 southbound entrance ramp may be closed nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Detour via W. Industrial Ave to U-turn.
- NW 7th Street Intersection: Closed at Boynton Beach Blvd through early summer 2026 for drainage. Detour via NW 1st Avenue and NW 8th Street.
S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard (Orchid Grove Trail to Palm Isles Drive): Turn lanes closed intermittently for signalization work, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Pipers Glen Boulevard and El Clair Road: Intersection closed completely for improvements. Traffic detoured via S. Jog Road, S. Military Trail, Woolbright Road, and Flavor Pict Road.
N. Seacrest Boulevard (S. Atlantic Drive to Arthur Court): Periodic northbound and southbound right lane closures for underground utility work.
High Ridge Road (Miner Road to Newport Place): Periodic northbound lane closure with flaggers for underground utility work.

- U.S. 441/S.R. 7 Mainline: Alternating single-lane closures northbound and southbound between Rio Grande Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, and Tivoli Isles Boulevard (7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daytime grading; 8:30 p.m. – 6 a.m. nightly striping).
- Sidewalk Closure: Northbound sidewalk closed from Atlantic Ave to Saturnia Isles Blvd; pedestrians detoured to the southbound sidewalk.
- Atlantic Avenue Mainline: One lane closed in each direction from Lyons Road to the Turnpike nightly (8:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.) for striping and paving. Westbound left-turn lane between Mulvehill Road and SR 7 is permanently closed until widening is finished.

S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (Lake Avenue to Ibis Way): One lane closed with a daily (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and nightly (8 p.m. – 7 a.m.) flagging operation through mid-summer 2026. One lane of Lake Avenue just west of A1A may also be closed during these hours. Pedestrian detours are active.
6th Avenue South (West of Lake Osborne Drive): Periodic daytime and nighttime eastbound right lane closure.
6th Avenue South (West of I-95): Periodic daytime and nighttime eastbound right lane and right turn lane closures.
6th Avenue South (East of South A Street): Periodic westbound right lane closure.

Palm Beach (Town)

S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (Emerald Beach Way to Royal Palm Way): One lane closed with flagging operations daily (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and nightly (8 p.m. – 6 a.m.) through Summer 2026 for mast arm and median construction.
Drilled Shaft Installations: Active work at the southwest corner of Peruvian Ave, southwest corner of Worth Ave, corners of Royal Palm Way, and near Fire Station #1.
ADVANCED NOTICE – Peruvian Avenue Drainage (July 2026): Around-the-clock northbound lane closures on S.R. A1A/S. County Road will be implemented between Peruvian and Chilean Ave. Traffic will detour via Peruvian Ave east, South Ocean Blvd north, and Chilean Ave west.

Palm Beach Gardens, Juno Beach & Jupiter

The southbound outside lane from Anchorage Drive to Northlake Blvd will be closed intermittently from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Marine Impact: The Earman River channel is closed to boaters through Spring 2027.

U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Roadway Improvements (59th Street to Northlake Boulevard): Northbound and southbound outside or inside lanes will close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and again from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday.
Cruise Terminal Access / Sidewalk Closure: The sidewalk along northbound U.S. 1 from Access Road to W. 11th Street is closed through June 2026. Right-turn access to E. 11th Street is also closed. Cruise passengers must use W. 13th Street.
N. Haverhill Road (South of Bee Line Highway): Periodic northbound and southbound traffic shifts with police oversight.
Haverhill Road (Haverhill Business Pkwy to south of Beeline Hwy): Periodic northbound and southbound lane closures.
President Barack Obama Highway (W. 11th St to W. 4th St): Periodic southbound right lane closure.

Royal Palm Beach & Wellington

S.R. 7/U.S. 441 Resurfacing at S.R. 802/Lake Worth Road: Northbound outside right lane and adjacent lane closed intermittently from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for earthwork.
PLAZA CLOSURE NOTICE: The entrance/exit of the shopping plaza along northbound S.R. 7, south of Lake Worth Road, will be closed continuously from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10. Drivers must use the alternate plaza access on Lake Worth Road.
S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard and S.R. 7/U.S. 441 Ramp Improvements: Northbound and southbound lanes along S.R. 7 will have single lane closures intermittently from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Continuous Right-Turn & Sidewalk Closures: The northbound right-turn lane at the S.R. 7 ramp to eastbound Southern Blvd is closed continuously. The northeast and southeast sidewalks are closed until Summer 2026; follow directional detours.
Okeechobee Boulevard (Royal Palm Beach Blvd to Crestwood Blvd): Periodic eastbound right lane closures.
Okeechobee Boulevard (East of Wildcat Way to SR 7): Periodic eastbound and westbound right lane closures for FPL maintenance.
Okeechobee Boulevard (East of Royal Palm Beach Blvd): Periodic eastbound right lane closure.

Western Districts & Agricultural Area

(Wellington/Glades Borders, Belle Glade, South Bay)

S.R. 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project:
- Mainline Closures: Beeline Highway from S.R. 809/Military Trail to S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard is reduced to one inside lane through September 2026. Westbound traffic shifted to the median.
- Intersection Inside-Lane Closures (Daytime Mon-Fri): Affected intersections include Beeline Hwy at Northlake Blvd (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Jog Road (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.), and Haverhill Road (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.).
- Ramp Closure Detour: The northwest ramp from Beeline Hwy to eastbound Northlake Blvd is closed until Summer 2026. Motorists must continue to the intersection and turn right at the signal.
- Left Turn Lane Closure: The southeast-bound left turn lane from Beeline Hwy to eastbound Blue Heron Blvd is closed around-the-clock through September 2026. Detour via Military Trail north and Blue Heron Blvd east.
- Blue Heron Boulevard Traffic Shift: Westbound traffic has been shifted to a newly constructed outside lane from Beeline Hwy to south of N. Haverhill Road through September 2026.
U.S. 27/S.R. 25 Bridge Project (Everglades Agricultural Area – 27 Miles North of I-75): Mainline traffic in both directions is shifted east until Dec. 31 to facilitate bridge and canal construction. Intermittent single lane closures occur Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Speed limit is reduced to 55 mph.
S.R. 700/Conners Highway Slope Protection (Hatton Highway to S.R. 80/U.S. 98): ROAD CLOSED COMPLETELY throughout construction. Northbound traffic detours via S.R. 80 to Hatton Highway. Southbound traffic detours via Hatton Highway to S.R. 80.
SW 66th Avenue (South of Sandalfoot Boulevard – District 5): Southbound lane closed. Traffic detoured via Sandalfoot Boulevard, US 441 (SR 7), SW 18th Street, and SW 65th Avenue.
Judge Winikoff Road (S.R. 7 to Glades Road): Periodic lane closures.
