Firefighters were called to the scene around 5 a.m. after someone smelled smoke in the area. First responders quickly located the smoke as coming from inside the complex which houses multiple businesses and stores.
At least 13 firefighting units were on the scene. Initial information suggests the fire was electrical. The cause is unclear. A witnesses says the damage from the fire, and the firefighting effort, is extensive.
Witnesses praise firefighters for not just battling the fire situation, but the extreme early morning heat.
