LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County doctor is suing Palm Beach National Golf and Country Club, claiming the Lake Worth Beach club has subjected his home to years of late-night music, early-morning lawn equipment and rowdy parking lot patrons. Dr. Jon Arenstein filed the lawsuit June 26 in circuit court, alleging the disturbances date back to construction that started in February 2021 and have continued through this month. Arenstein has lived directly across the street from the club since 1980.
The complaint lists problem after problem. It claims construction crews showed up at 3 a.m. in 2021, lawn equipment ran before 6 a.m. on multiple occasions, and the driving range’s sound system blasted music well past 11 p.m. — sometimes past 1 a.m. The lawsuit says Arenstein repeatedly texted club management to get the noise turned off, and that Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to one incident in May 2024 after patrons in the parking lot were shouting, playing music and revving engines around 1 a.m.
Arenstein’s attorney also sent the club’s counsel a certified letter in May 2023 citing Lake Worth Beach’s noise ordinance, and filed a complaint with Palm Beach County Zoning in March 2026. The suit argues the club’s conduct violates both the city’s and county’s noise limits — which cap sound at 55 to 65 decibels overnight depending on the source — and is asking a judge for an injunction forcing the club to cut the noise, ban lawn equipment before 7 a.m., control unruly patrons and stop over-serving alcohol.
The complaint accuses the club of negligence and private nuisance in addition to seeking injunctive relief, and demands a jury trial. Arenstein is asking for damages exceeding $50,000, citing lost property value, lost sleep and family stress. Palm Beach National Golf and Country Club has operated at the Lake Worth Beach location since 1953. The club had not responded to the suit as of Sunday morning.
