BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton’s Fourth of July celebration is back, with a full day of family events bookended by a sunrise 5K and a fireworks show after dark. The City of Boca Raton Recreation Services and the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District are presenting the “Fabulous Fourth” on Saturday, July 4, with four separate events spread across the city.
The day kicks off at 7:15 a.m. with the Firecracker 5K Run/Walk at Florida Atlantic University, 777 Glades Road. Registration costs $40 through July 1 and includes a finisher medal, shirt, and snacks for the first 1,000 runners. From 8 a.m. to noon, players can compete for the Liberty Cup in a round-robin pickleball tournament at Patch Reef Park & Racquet Club, divided into four divisions with a 75-player cap. Tennis players can join a two-hour clinic with club pros at The Racquet Center from 10 a.m. to noon, limited to 24 spots. Both tournaments include a participant shirt and a Liberty Cup trophy for winners, but online registration is required — there’s no sign-up at either site on the Fourth.
Families can head to Sugar Sand Park, 300 Military Trail, from 1 to 4 p.m. for a free Block Party with kids’ crafts, a DJ, yard games and food trucks. The celebration wraps up after dark at Countess de Hoernle Park, 1000 Spanish River Blvd, where the free Fabulous Finale runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Bands Jinx and Friday @ Five perform before a 20-minute fireworks show lights up the sky at 9:10 p.m. over the water.
Parking at the fireworks show is limited to the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, with shuttle service and a walking trail running from there to the park starting at 6:30 p.m.
Drones, sparklers, personal fireworks, alcohol, coolers, large bags, golf carts and pets are all banned from the Finale grounds. Organizers are also reminding attendees to lock their cars, leave valuables behind, and pick a meeting spot in case the family gets separated in the crowd.
