Keith previously served as Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer and, during my First Term, worked at the U.S. Department of Labor as the Acting and Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division. Throughout his career, Keith has proven his dedication to delivering strong results for the Hardworking People of our Country, and I know he will do an incredible job in his new role. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
We’ve reported on Keith Sonderling’s meteoric rise over the past two years — including last year when he was confirmed as deputy labor secretary. From our reporting on January 17, 2025: “Keith Sonderling’s legal career started at the law firm Gunster in West Palm Beach. He was later appointed by former Florida Governor Rick Scott to serve as a Commissioner on the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. He is a respected South Floridian known for putting people in front of politics.”
Keith graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida, and the Shepard School of Law at Nova Southeastern University.
Keith is the son of Dr. Howard Sonderling, one of the nation’s leading Gastroenterologists. Dr. Sonderling retired from his Boca Raton practice late last year.
