BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man is dead after a shooting in a Walmart parking.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that emergency dispatchers received a call at approximately 12:28 p.m. on June 30 reporting a shooting in the parking lot of the Walmart located at 7900 W. McNab Road in North Lauderdale. Broward Sheriff’s Office district deputies and North Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to the scene, where deputies located Bart Diguglielmo suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported Diguglielmo to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation shows Diguglielmo and an adult female got into a verbal altercation over a parking space just before the shooting. The woman, identified by investigators as the shooter, remained on scene and cooperated with detectives, telling them the shooting was in self-defense.
BSO homicide detectives say the case will be handed over to the Broward County State Attorney’s Office once the investigation is complete, so prosecutors can determine whether criminal charges will be filed. The investigation is ongoing.
