Easton Meza and Victor Rivero Arrested For Shooting, Chase Near Cain and Yamato.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two teenagers are facing attempted murder charges after a late-night visit to a home near Crescendo Drive and Concerto Drive in West Boca Raton turned into an armed robbery, a chase and a shooting that left one of their acquaintances wounded and run over as the group fled, according to arrest reports obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. The area is near Yamato and Cain Boulevard.
Deputies say 15-year-old Easton Meza of Boca Raton and 16-year-old Victor Manuel Rivero III, whose family lives in Boca Raton, arrived at the teenage victim’s home around 1 a.m. on April 24 after being invited over via a group FaceTime call. Investigators say Meza and another juvenile went inside, spent about an hour with the victim, and at one point posed for photos with rifles the victim kept in his bedroom closet. While the victim stepped into the kitchen to get them food, affidavits state the two ran out of the house with both rifles and a handgun.

The victim chased them into the street as an SUV — allegedly driven by Rivero — pulled up. According to the affidavit, a struggle broke out as the victim tried to wrestle back one of his rifles while hanging onto the vehicle’s open door. Investigators say another occupant of the SUV, identified in the affidavit as Calvin Devon Waldon, struck the victim with a pistol and then fired a shot as others in the car yelled “shoot him.” The victim was hit in the leg, fell from the moving vehicle and was run over by a rear tire as the SUV sped away, deputies say. He was taken to Delray Medical Center in serious condition with a gunshot wound, a head laceration and road rash. His mother told investigators she found him at the front door and called 911.
Detectives say video surveillance from the neighborhood matched the victim’s account, and he positively identified Meza, Rivero and Waldon from photographs. Both Meza and Rivero were initially detained following the incident. They were officially processed into the Palm Beach County Jail on July 7th where they are being held without bond. The charges: attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, a life felony, along with armed burglary of an occupied dwelling and grand theft between $750 and $5,000. Waldon was previously arrested and booked on an attempted murder charge.
BocaNewsNow.com does not traditionally identify minors, however, the nature of the charges in this case merit an exception to that policy.

These creeps should not have been given any bail thank God they didn’t get it. I’m sick and tired of this kind of crime Bruce where did they get the guns? Aren’t they too young even in Florida to have guns and thank you for posting their names why does their age prevent them from being announced of sick of that it’s BS. It’s best. I’d like to know how they got the guns and from whom, of course that person should be arrested as well and never be allowed to have a gun as these creeps too. Should never be allowed to have a gun in their name should be put in some kind of data Bank but I’m sure the second amendment nut jobs will be screaming that their rights are being violated. What about the rights of the people who are at risk because nut jobs like them have guns I guess that doesn’t matter anymore. I’m not against guns. What bothers me is a pervasive attitude in this country that people need a gun. If you feel your country is so dangerous that you need a gun you need to change your damn country ! anyway I would hope that these creeps get prosecuted to the post extent the law no excuses no poor babies no rationalizations!. car creeping crimes continue because these people are not prosecuted, and if they were the punishment doesn’t nearly equal the crime. It seems open in this country you get punished more and with no excuses having bad credit than murdering somebody. I don’t want them in jail, but I want all their social media taken away their bones taken away and put on house arrest for a couple years. They can take online courses. For the record I’m neither a liberal or a right winger. I’m just a human being sick and tired of this kind of behavior. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
