A man was hit by a train Saturday evening in West Palm Beach.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man was hit by a train this evening in West Palm Beach. Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that the incident led to an amputation.

The train, operating on the Brightline Tracks north of the West Palm Beach station, apparently hit the person around 7:20 this evening. The location: the area of 31st Street and Greenwood Avenue.

West Palm Beach rescue crews were on the scene within minutes and found the man on the ground. His arm was severed from his torso.

The victim was rushed to Saint Mary’s Medical Center — the trauma center for the West Palm Beach area — where he is receiving emergency care. Neither his age nor identity were available.

Expect delays on Brightline through the evening.
