BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County is gearing up for its annual Veterans Build, and this year six veteran households in Boynton Beach are getting the help. The event, presented by Vertical Bridge for the ninth year running, is set for Friday, November 6, 2026. Veterans, corporate partners, community leaders and volunteers will spend the morning tackling home repair and revitalization projects — think landscaping, exterior painting and other fixes — aimed at keeping local veterans safely and independently in their own homes.
Leading as co-chairs are Carey Clarke, CEO and Founder of Magen Protective Services and a U.S. Army veteran; Anthony Nastase, owner of Tropical Springs Realty; and Joel Villahermosa, owner of Graze Craze North Palm Beach and a U.S. Air Force veteran. The trio is spearheading fundraising and community outreach for the initiative.
“Veterans Build is more than a project. It’s an opportunity for our community to give back to those who have given so much,” the co-chairs said in a statement, adding that helping a veteran family maintain homeownership is “one small way we can honor their service and make a lasting difference.”
Clint and Rose Lowe, along with Michael and Tiffany Maglio, are serving as honorary co-chairs, backed by a lengthy roster of committee members and reserves from across the local business community.
“Veterans Build is about serving those who bravely served our nation,” said Jennifer Thomason. “It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, honor their service, and ensure the veterans who call Palm Beach County home have the stability and support they deserve.”

Organizers say aging, disabilities, financial hardship and other unexpected setbacks can make it tough for veterans to keep their homes safe and accessible — which is exactly the gap Veterans Build is designed to fill. The morning’s work wraps with the American Dream BBQ, a lunch honoring veterans and thanking volunteers and sponsors for the day.
Sponsorships start at $2,500, and because the projects are hands-on, build-day spots are limited to sponsors only. Ahead of the main event, Habitat is hosting its second annual Aim to Build Sporting Clay Tournament on October 23 at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch, co-chaired by Boynton Beach Mayor J.P. O’Connor and Rahul Sudhakar, to help raise funds for Veterans Build.
