A truck is burning late Monday morning on the Sawgrass Expressway near the Broward/Palm Beach County line.

UPDATE: The Sawgrass has reopened as of 2:15 p.m.

UPDATE: The Sawgrass is still closed as of 1:36 p.m.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A tractor trailer is burning on the Sawgrass Expressway near the 441 off-ramp. The situation is developing as of 11:20 a.m. Monday.

FDOT reports that all lanes northbound are closed approaching the fire. Broward Fire Rescue is on the scene dealing with the blaze.

It is not immediately clear what the truck is hauling or what led to the fire. It does not appear to be related to a crash.
