CEO OF KOLTER HOMES SUES RELATIVE FOR SLANDER.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County homebuilder is suing his sister-in-law, accusing her of plastering a public mailbox with a flyer that falsely claimed he used company money to buy prostitutes at a Delray Beach hotel. Robert Julien — CEO of Kolter Homes — just filed the defamation lawsuit in Palm Beach County Circuit Court against Cortney Julien, who is currently going through a divorce from Robert’s brother. According to the complaint, Cortney obtained a compromising photo of Robert’s brother back in December and began circulating it to family members, along with text messages referencing the same incident.
The lawsuit obtained by BocaNewsNow.com and published below claims that on July 4, Cortney allegedly threatened to “make 1000 copies” of a flyer and “post it on my social media for the world to see.” Days later, court records say, a flyer showed up taped to a mailbox in public view. It combined the December photo with text accusing Robert of using “business funds to hire prostitutes at local Delray Beach Hotel” — one owned, the flyer claimed, by his brother — and referenced “$14M sex-houses” purchased for family members, warning “WOMEN BEWARE.”
Robert’s attorneys say the language on the flyer echoes texts Cortney had sent him weeks earlier referencing a “sex pad” and a “family affair” tied to the same property. When confronted, the lawsuit states, Cortney claimed she had no idea how the flyer ended up on the mailbox and said she’d report it to police. Robert says he encouraged her to do exactly that and asked for a copy of any police report. Her response, according to the filing: “[Expletive] off bobby. You can both kiss my [expletive]. Take that to your lawyers.” Court records, according to the suit, indicate she never filed a police report.
The complaint, filed by attorney John W. Terwilleger of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, accuses Cortney of defamation per se, arguing the flyer falsely accused Robert of a crime and damaged his business reputation. The lawsuit seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus interest and costs. The allegations in the complaint are just that — allegations, the validity of which will be determined in court.
