BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is facing felony charges after police say he grabbed a phone out of a woman’s hand while she was on the line with 911 during a domestic dispute. Adam Mark Hennesey, 41, was arrested by Boca Raton police and booked on charges of robbery by sudden snatching and tampering with a witness or victim, according to an arrest report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com.
A woman told police that Hennesey came home intoxicated, began calling her derogatory names and accused her of being unfaithful, and that a shouting match followed during which he damaged furniture inside the home. When the woman tried to call police, Hennessey allegedly snatched the phone from her hand, but not before she had already dialed 911 — meaning dispatchers were able to hear the yelling and screaming that followed, according to the report.
Police say Hennesey invoked his right to remain silent, and asked for an attorney without answering further questions. He was charged with robbery by sudden snatching, along with tampering with a witness or victim.
Hennesy was released on $2000 bond. A court date is pending.
