DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A person was struck and killed by a Brightline Train early Sunday morning, according to information obtained by BocaNewsNow.com.
While we are awaiting official word from the Delray Beach Police Department, we have learned that the person was struck by a northbound train around just after midnight. It happened in the area of Northeast 4th Street where the road intersects with the tracks.
Information regarding the age or sex of the victim was not immediately available. It’s unclear if this was an accidental death or if the victim was committing suicide-by-train, an all-too-frequent cause of death in South Florida.
