COCONUT CREEK, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Seven cats are dead and one man suffered minor injuries in a house fire in the 900 block of Palmetto Drive in Coconut Creek early Monday morning.
The Coconut Creek Police Department tells BocaNewsNow.com that one adult male was transported to an area hospital for smoke inhalation. The rest of the family that lives in the house escaped the fire uninjured.
Sadly, firefighters in the home found seven dead cats. A dog, however, did make it outside and is fine.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
