BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Federal, state and local law enforcement arrested 309 people during a five-day immigration enforcement operation across Palm Beach County, the Florida State Board of Immigration Enforcement told BocaNewsNow.com on Wednesday.
The operation ran from July 6 through July 10 under the federal 287(g) program, which allows state and local agencies to work alongside U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on immigration cases. More than 100 federal, state and county personnel took part, the board said, with logistical support from the Florida National Guard and Florida State Guard.
Agencies involved included ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Border Patrol, the Florida Highway Patrol’s Criminal Alien Apprehension Team, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. SBIE Executive Director Anthony Coker coordinated the effort.
Coker called it “proof” that Florida has built a model for how 287(g) partnerships can work, saying the operation showed what agencies can accomplish by pooling their resources. U.S. Border Patrol Chief Jeffrey Dinise said the effort reflected close cooperation among law enforcement partners statewide, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Mark Glass credited shared information and coordination for the results.
Among those arrested, officials pointed to one case involving a person who entered the country without inspection and had a prior record that included a DUI charge and driving without a valid license, along with an active failure-to-appear warrant out of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
