BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Glades Road Eastbound is closed as of 1:45 p.m. Tuesday due to a crash in the area of Powerline Road. While we don’t expect Glades to be closed throughout the afternoon, we are alerting our readers due to the nature of the intersection.
BocaNewsNow.com has learned that multiple cars were involved in a crash that span several hundred yards in what is described as a “split scene.” One woman — believed to be in her 70s — was rushed to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries. No other serious injuries were reported.
The Boca Raton Police Department alerted a short time ago that Glades is closed eastbound in the area. Your best bet — and it’s not a great option — is to take Lyons up to Yamato or down to Palmetto Park Road if you’re heading east. Then take Military Trail or another N/S road to avoid the intersection. Westbound is said to be moving, but expect gaper delays in the area.
