BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Palm Beach County election officials say the county’s voting equipment is ready for next month’s primary after passing a required accuracy check this week. The Palm Beach County Canvassing Board completed its Logic and Accuracy Test for the August 18 Primary Election, with every piece of equipment tabulating results with 100 percent accuracy.
“Logic and Accuracy Testing is one of the many safeguards built into Florida’s election process,” said Wendy Sartory Link, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections. “This successful test demonstrates that our voting equipment is accurately recording and tabulating ballots as we prepare for the 2026 Primary Election. Transparency is an essential part of maintaining voter confidence, and we appreciate everyone who joined us to observe this important process.”
Florida law requires the test before every election. It’s designed to confirm that voting machines record and count ballots exactly as they’re marked. Elections staff run test ballots with predetermined outcomes through the system, then check that the results match up, catching any problems before real votes are cast.
The test took place publicly at the Supervisor of Elections’ main office, overseen by the Canvassing Board, with candidates, political parties, media, and members of the public invited to watch. Election Day for the 2026 Primary is Tuesday, August 18. Voters can find registration deadlines, polling locations, and other information at VotePalmBeach.gov.
