Heat and thunderstorms are expected all week in much of Palm Beach County.

Here is what the National Weather Service is predicting for Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Lake Worth Beach, and much of Palm Beach County as of Sunday:

Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. High near 92. Heat index values as high as 106. South wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 78. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 109. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 

Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 79. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
