UPDATE 2 at 4:30 p.m. — Boca Raton PD just issued this statement: “Boca Raton Police are investigating after a woman’s body was spotted in the ocean, approximately 2 miles east of 2500 N Ocean Blvd. Just after 8:00 this morning, a boater reported a body in the ocean at that location. Boca Raton Police responded to the scene, with the Dive Team recovering the woman’s body in the water. Boca Raton Fire Rescue, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the U.S. Coast Guard also assisted at the scene. The woman was a white female, estimated to have been approximately 40-50 years old with brown and gray hair, wearing a blue t-shirt. UPDATE 1 at 11 a.m. — The body has apparently been recovered. We are awaiting official confirmation.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Boca Raton Police Department and Boca Raton Fire Rescue are both a couple miles off shore from the 2500 block of Ocean Boulevard Tuesday morning where a woman’s body was apparently found floating in the ocean.
BocaNewsNow.com has learned that a boater in the area says he found the body and called for assistance. That boater remained in the area so police and rescuers could locate the person. It’s unclear as of 8:40 a.m. — roughly half an hour after the first report was made — if the body was located.
There have been no missing person reports shared with the media over the past several days involving a missing woman. If you see police and rescuers boats off the coast Tuesday morning, this is what’s going on.
