Interstate 95 — Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange

The biggest headache remains the $64 million S.R. 9/I-95 at S.R. 804/Boynton Beach Boulevard Interchange Improvements Project, a 2.354-mile overhaul that has been reshaping the interchange since August 2025 and is not expected to wrap until early 2029. Crews are widening the Boynton Beach Boulevard bridge, adding turn lanes, repaving, adding bike lanes and sidewalks, and upgrading signals and lighting throughout the corridor.

• I-95 (both directions): One lane may close nightly beginning 8 p.m., expanding to up to three lanes closed 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday, for bridge and ramp work. A fourth lane may close overnight as needed.
• I-95 northbound outside deceleration lane/shoulder approaching the Boynton Beach Boulevard exit: closed through late 2026.
• I-95 southbound outside deceleration lane/shoulder approaching the Boynton Beach Boulevard exit: closed through late 2026.
• I-95 entrance/exit ramps at Boynton Beach Boulevard: portions of ramps and shoulders closed behind temporary barrier wall, with slight traffic shifts; additional lanes may close nightly 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday.
• I-95 northbound exit ramp to Boynton Beach Boulevard: may close 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday. Detour: exit at Woolbright Road, east to U.S. 1, north to Boynton Beach Boulevard.
• I-95 southbound exit ramp to Boynton Beach Boulevard: may close 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday. Detour: exit at Gateway Boulevard, east to U.S. 1, south to Boynton Beach Boulevard.
• I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Boynton Beach Boulevard: may close 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday. Detour: Boynton Beach Boulevard east to U.S. 1 or west to Congress Avenue, then north to Gateway Boulevard.
• I-95 southbound entrance ramp from Boynton Beach Boulevard: may close 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday. Detour: Boynton Beach Boulevard east to U.S. 1 or west to Congress Avenue, then south to Woolbright Road.
• Only one Boynton Beach Boulevard interchange ramp may close at a time.
• Eastbound Boynton Beach Boulevard: lane reduction and traffic shift in place through late 2026 from NW 8th Street to east of W. Industrial Avenue, with temporary barrier wall reducing the eastbound outside lane from three lanes to two.
• Eastbound Boynton Beach Boulevard just west of NW 8th Street: traffic barrels mark the start of the lane reduction, leaving two through lanes at the intersection.
• Northbound outside turn lane on NW 8th Street at Boynton Beach Boulevard: closed, leaving one lane for right, left and through traffic.
• Boynton Beach Boulevard (Old Boynton Road to NW 3rd Avenue): one lane may close in each direction 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, though single-lane closures in each direction are permitted only Friday and Saturday nights.
• Boynton Beach Boulevard westbound turn lane to the I-95 southbound entrance ramp: may close 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday. Detour via W. Industrial Avenue to U-turn back to eastbound Boynton Beach Boulevard.

More I-95 Closures This Week

• Northbound I-95 at S.R. 882/Forest Hill Boulevard, West Palm Beach: outside lane closed 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 10 and Tuesday, Aug. 11, for barrier wall construction.
• Southbound I-95 express lanes, from the express lane entrance to Hillsboro Boulevard in Boca Raton: closed 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 10, for cleaning and delineator pole replacement.
• Northbound I-95 express lanes, from SW 10th Street to the express lane exit in Boca Raton: closed 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 11, for cleaning and delineator pole replacement.

Florida’s Turnpike

The S.R. 91/Florida’s Turnpike Widening Project between Southern Boulevard and Okeechobee Boulevard continues chipping away at bridge work over N Jog Road.

• The left-turn lane from northbound N Jog Road to southbound S.R. 91/Florida’s Turnpike is closed through late 2027 for bridge widening. Jog Road lanes over the Turnpike are reduced from three to two in each direction and shifted east.
• Detour: Northbound N Jog Road traffic bound for southbound Florida’s Turnpike is directed west on Belvedere Road, then south on Pike Road.
• Detour: Belvedere Road traffic bound for southbound Florida’s Turnpike is directed south on Pike Road.

Southern Palm Beach County (Boca Raton, Highland Beach, Delray Beach)

Boca Raton — S.R. 5/U.S. 1 Lane Repurposing and Resurfacing

This 1.3-mile project along U.S. 1 from Camino Real to NE 8th Street/Mizner Boulevard is set to begin August 20, 2026, and will eventually eliminate an outside lane in favor of 7-foot separated bike lanes, wider sidewalks and a new mid-block signalized crosswalk near Plaza Real. Cost: $6.3 million. Completion: late 2027.

• Traffic Impact: All lanes are currently open.

Delray Beach & Boynton Beach — S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction

This $26 million, 2.76-mile widening of Atlantic Avenue from west of U.S. 441 to Florida’s Turnpike — underway since January 2025 and due to finish summer 2028 — is adding travel lanes, sidewalks, buffered bike lanes and a relocated canal.

• Northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441 from Rio Grande Avenue to just south of Atlantic Avenue: one lane may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping.
• Northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441 from just north of Atlantic Avenue to Tivoli Isles Boulevard: one lane may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping.
• Southbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441 from Tivoli Isles Boulevard to just north of Atlantic Avenue: one lane may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping.
• Southbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441 from just south of Atlantic Avenue to just south of 105th Drive South: one lane may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping.
• Eastbound turn lane on Atlantic Avenue from the Wawa back entrance to U.S. 441: may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for signalization work.
• Northbound sidewalk between Atlantic Avenue and Saturnia Isles Boulevard: closed; pedestrians detoured to the southbound sidewalk. Motorists exiting Rio Grande will be directed south.
• Eastbound Atlantic Avenue from Lyons Road to the Turnpike: one lane may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping.
• Westbound Atlantic Avenue from Lyons Road to the Turnpike: one lane may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping.
• Atlantic Avenue between U.S. 441 and Lyons Road: one lane in each direction may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping.
• Smith Sundy Road between Storage Zone Gate and Atlantic Avenue: one lane in each direction may close 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for final striping, with flaggers directing traffic.

Delray Beach & Boynton Beach — S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue & Homewood Boulevard Intersection (and S.R. 704/Okeechobee & Haverhill Road)

This $3.2 million intersection improvement project was formally accepted by FDOT on Thursday, July 30, 2026 — one down.

Delray Beach — Atlantic Avenue Tree Trimming

• Eastbound and westbound S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue from Sims Road to Jog Road: one lane will close 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, for tree trimming.

Central Palm Beach County (Boynton Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach)

Lake Worth Beach — U.S. 1/North Dixie Highway & I-95 Lighting Project

A $2.5 million relighting project along North Dixie Highway and I-95 through Lake Worth Beach, running through summer 2027, brings some overnight lane closures this week.

• Northbound and southbound U.S. 1/North Dixie Highway between Lucerne Avenue and 3rd Avenue South: one lane closed intermittently 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 9 and Monday, Aug. 10, for underground utility work (only one lane at a time).
• Northbound and southbound U.S. 1/North Dixie Highway between 10th Avenue North and the West Palm Beach Canal: one lane closed intermittently 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 11 through Thursday, Aug. 13, for underground utility work (only one lane at a time).
• S.R. 9/I-95 (this project segment): All lanes are open.

Boynton Beach — S.R. 804 Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation

This $2.7 million repaving job from east of Orchid Grove Trail to Palm Isles Drive, running through fall 2026, is not causing closures at the moment.

• Traffic Impact: All lanes are open.

West Palm Beach — S.R. 5/U.S. 1 Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation

A $3.9 million repaving and pedestrian-safety project from Belvedere Road to south of Okeechobee Boulevard, due early 2027, brings midday lane closures this week.

• Northbound and southbound U.S. 1 between Belvedere Road and Okeechobee Boulevard: one lane closed intermittently 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, for concrete and electrical work.
• Northbound U.S. 1 from Barcelona Road to Acacia Road: outside lane closed through summer 2026 for drainage and concrete work.

Lake Worth Beach & Town of Palm Beach — S.R. A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (Lake Avenue to Ibis Way)

A $5.9 million streetscape and bike lane project, due to wrap this summer, is in its final stretch of sod installation and inspections.

• New pedestrian signal at the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course entrance/crosswalk, just south of Old S. Ocean Boulevard, is now fully operational (push-button activated, flashes yellow then red).
• One lane of S.R. A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard may close via flagging operation daily 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and nightly 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday night through Friday, for sod installation and final inspections.
• One lane of Lake Avenue just west of the S.R. A1A intersection may close in each direction on the same daily/nightly schedule, for the same work.
• A temporary pedestrian detour route remains in place throughout the work zone.

Town of Palm Beach — S.R. A1A/South County Road (Emerald Beach Way to Royal Palm Way)

This $8.2 million streetscape project, running through late 2026, is deep into signal, drainage, lighting and sidewalk work along Worth Avenue and the surrounding blocks.

• One lane of S.R. A1A/S. County Road may close via flagging operation daily 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and nightly 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday, for sidewalk replacement, concrete work, drainage installation and mast arm installation corridor-wide.
• Drilled shaft installation for new traffic signal mast arms is underway from Golfview Road/Hammon Avenue to Royal Palm Way.
• Construction, sidewalk replacement and site restoration expected at multiple intersection corners: Royal Palm Way (northwest/southwest), the Town of Palm Beach Fire Station #1 (southeast), Peruvian Avenue (northeast/southwest), Worth Avenue (southwest), Golfview Road (northwest) and Hammon Avenue (southeast).
• Sidewalk removal and replacement from Brazilian Avenue to Royal Palm Way begins Monday, Aug. 10, daily 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, starting on the east side before shifting to the west side (sequence may change). Business access maintained; a temporary pedestrian detour is in place.
• Advance notice: Northbound S.R. A1A/S. County Road lanes between Peruvian Avenue and Chilean Avenue may close around-the-clock beginning late August for drainage work at Peruvian Avenue. Detour: eastbound on Peruvian Avenue, northbound on South Ocean Boulevard, westbound on Chilean Avenue to rejoin northbound S.R. A1A.

Ocean Ridge

• Northbound and southbound S.R. A1A/Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway, from just south of Corrine Street to just north of S.R. 804/Ocean Avenue: one lane may close intermittently via flagging operation 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, to prepare for water main installation.
• Eastbound and westbound single-lane closures on S.R. 804/Ocean Avenue at the S.R. A1A intersection may also be used as needed.
• A temporary traffic signal is expected to be installed in mid-August to alternate traffic on S.R. A1A and from driveways and side streets in the work zone; once activated it will run around-the-clock through late 2026.

Town of Palm Beach — Royal Palm Way Overnight Closure

• Westbound S.R. 704/Royal Palm Way from South County Road to Cocoanut Row: closed 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 until 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, for drainage work. Detour: south on South County Road, west on Brazilian Avenue, north on Cocoanut Row to rejoin westbound Royal Palm Way.

Northern Palm Beach County (Riviera Beach, Lake Park, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Juno Beach, Jupiter, Tequesta)

Riviera Beach, Lake Park & North Palm Beach — U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Roadway Improvements

This $13.4 million, 3-mile repaving and safety project from 59th Street to Northlake Boulevard, underway since August 2025 and due late 2027, includes a new shared-use path over the Port of Palm Beach bridge.

• Sidewalk along northbound U.S. 1 from Access Road to W 11th Street: closed through September 2026. Right-turn access to E 11th Street also closed; for cruise terminal access, continue straight and use W 13th Street.
• Northbound and southbound U.S. 1 from 59th Street to Northlake Boulevard: one outside or inside lane closure 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and again 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14.
• Center left-turn lane on U.S. 1 between Silver Beach Road and E. Kalima Drive: permanently closed for a reconstructed raised median. Drivers must continue to the nearest signalized intersection to turn.

Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach & West Palm Beach — S.R. 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction

The county’s priciest project by far — $148.2 million to widen Beeline Highway from four to six lanes between Northlake Boulevard and Blue Heron Boulevard — remains a rolling maze of shifted lanes through late 2029.

• Signal operations may be affected corridor-wide and are being monitored for temporary adjustments to reduce congestion.
• S.R. 710 northwest-bound lanes from Military Trail to the Turnpike overpass have been shifted for this construction phase, remaining in place until summer 2027.
• S.R. 710 southeast-bound, north of Northlake Boulevard: one outside lane closed 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 southeast-bound, from the Turnpike overpass to Steeplechase Drive: one lane closed 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710, from the Turnpike overpass to Jog Road: one lane closed in each direction 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 from Blue Heron Boulevard to Northlake Boulevard: one lane closed in each direction daily 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 and Northlake Boulevard: one inside lane closed in each direction daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 and Jog Road: one lane closed in each direction daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 and Haverhill Road: one inside lane closed in each direction daily 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard: one lane closed in each direction daily 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 lane widths are reduced and westbound traffic shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard.
• The S.R. 710 northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard is temporarily closed, expected to reopen winter 2026; motorists can continue on S.R. 710 and turn right at the light instead.
• The southeast S.R. 710 left-turn lane to eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard is closed around-the-clock through September 2026. Detour: southeast on S.R. 710, north on Military Trail, east on Blue Heron Boulevard. Emergency vehicle and business access maintained.
• Eastbound S.R. 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from S.R. 710 to Military Trail: outside lane closed daily 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Northlake Boulevard west of S.R. 710: one lane closed in each direction as needed, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Northlake Boulevard east of S.R. 710: one lane closed in each direction as needed, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• S.R. 710 northwest-bound access to eastbound Northlake Boulevard is temporarily shifted, expected to reopen winter 2026; motorists can turn right at the intersection instead.
• Northlake Boulevard lanes at the S.R. 710 intersection are shifted and U-turns in both directions are unavailable, remaining in place until winter 2026.
• S.R. 91/Florida’s Turnpike near the S.R. 710 overpass: one lane closed in each direction Sunday night 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Monday through Thursday nights 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., through August 2026.
• S.R. 91/Florida’s Turnpike southbound lanes near the S.R. 710 overpass are temporarily shifted, remaining in place until fall 2026.

North Palm Beach — U.S. 1/S.R. 5 Earman River Bridge Replacement

A $13.7 million bridge replacement from Northlake Boulevard to just north of Anchorage Drive is underway, due summer 2027.

• Southbound U.S. 1 Earman River Bridge traffic from just south of Anchorage Drive to Northlake Boulevard has been shifted onto the new northbound bridge, with two travel lanes open in each direction on that span, through spring 2027. Pedestrians detoured to the east-side sidewalk; business and residential access maintained.
• Southbound U.S. 1 outside lane from Anchorage Drive to Northlake Boulevard: closed intermittently daily 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Signal operations may be affected and are being monitored to minimize congestion.
• Southbound and northbound bike lanes end at the U.S. 1/Northlake Boulevard intersection through Anchorage Drive.
• Marine impact: The Earman River channel is closed through spring 2027; mariners should use an alternate route to the Intracoastal Waterway north to the Lighthouse Bridge.

Western Palm Beach County (Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, South Bay, Belle Glade, Pahokee, Canal Point)

S.R. 7/U.S. 441 at S.R. 802/Lake Worth Road

A $3.4 million resurfacing and turn-lane project at this intersection, running through early 2027, brings weekday closures.

• Northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441: outside right lane and the adjacent lane closed intermittently within the project limits, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, for earthwork and equipment mobilization.
• Entrance and exit of the shopping plaza along northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441, south of Lake Worth Road: closed continuously through Friday, Aug. 14. Drivers may use the alternate plaza entrance/exit on Lake Worth Road.

S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard Ramps & S.R. 7/U.S. 441 Ramp Improvements

This $8.3 million ramp-widening project near the C-51 Canal, due summer 2027, is adding dual and triple turn lanes at a notoriously congested interchange.

• Northbound and southbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441: one lane closed intermittently for roadway work, Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Northbound right-turn lane at the S.R. 7/U.S. 441 on-ramp to eastbound S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard: closed continuously for bridge widening work.
• Beginning Monday, Aug. 10, the eastbound S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard off-ramp U-turn lane at U.S. 441, which provides access to the westbound S.R. 80 on-ramp, is closed until fall 2026 for U-turn ramp widening. Motorists wanting the westbound on-ramp must continue east on S.R. 80 past the U.S. 441 off-ramp and detour via a U-turn at Fairgrounds Road.
• Northeast and southeast sidewalks at S.R. 7/U.S. 441 and S.R. 80/Southern Boulevard: closed continuously until fall 2026 for bridge widening. Pedestrians/cyclists on the northbound sidewalk are detoured to the signalized intersection at Erica Boulevard, then north past Acme Road, under the Southern Boulevard ramps, to the signalized crossing.

U.S. 27/S.R. 25 Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) Reservoir Bridges

A $20.9 million bridge and canal project 27 miles north of the U.S. 27/I-75 interchange, underway since January 2026 and due late 2028, is part of the broader EAA reservoir stormwater effort.

• Intermittent northbound and southbound single-lane closures within the project limits, Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for maintenance repairs.
• Southbound and northbound mainline traffic shifted east until Dec. 31 to protect bridge and canal construction on the west side.
• Speed limit reduced from 65 mph to 55 mph within the project limits.

S.R. 700/Conners Highway Embankment Repairs

• S.R. 700/Conners Highway from Hatton Highway to S.R. 80/U.S. 98: closed throughout construction, as of June 1. Northbound traffic detoured via S.R. 80/U.S. 98, right on Hatton Highway, left onto S.R. 700. Southbound traffic detoured right onto Hatton Highway, left onto S.R. 80/U.S. 98.

Palm Beach County — S.R. 15/U.S. 441/U.S. 98/Conners Highway Rail Crossing

• Northbound and southbound S.R. 15/U.S. 441/U.S. 98/Conners Highway: closed at the South Central Florida Express rail corridor from 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, for rail repairs (possibly extending to 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18).
• Detour, northbound: east on Old Conners Road, south on Hatton Highway, east on S.R. 80/U.S. 98/Southern Boulevard, north on Military Trail, west on S.R. 710/Beeline Highway, continuing west on S.R. 76/Kanner Highway to rejoin S.R. 15/U.S. 441 north of the crossing.
• Detour, southbound: east on S.R. 76/Kanner Highway, east on S.R. 710/Beeline Highway, south on Military Trail, west on S.R. 80/U.S. 98/Southern Boulevard, north on Hatton Highway, west on Old Conners Road to rejoin S.R. 15/U.S. 441 south of the crossing.
