PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A third person has died from injuries suffered in the fiery, multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 27 in South Bay last weekend, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division. Zion Alexis Moore, 13, was pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, nearly a week after the crash that killed two others at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.
Moore was a rear-seat passenger in a 2021 Cadillac XTS that was traveling southbound on U.S. 27 in the 7500 block on Aug. 1 when the driver, Tiffany Narcissus Laflet Silas, 37, of Deerfield Beach, lost control of the car. The Cadillac spun clockwise across the median and into the path of a northbound 2023 Peterbilt tractor-trailer and a 2017 Nissan Altima. Silas and a second rear-seat passenger, identified in sheriff’s records as Maliah Silas, were ejected or removed from the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene.
Moore had been airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center with serious injuries alongside another passenger, Havolyn Worthy of Clewiston, who also suffered serious injuries in the crash. The Peterbilt driver, Collis Kabron Faniel of Port St. Lucie, and a passenger in his truck were uninjured. The driver of the Nissan Altima, Staci Anne Christmas of Avon Park, and her passenger suffered minor injuries and were treated at Lakeside Medical Center.
