>> On 08/09/2026, at 1816 hours, Ofc. Merz and I responded to 233 NE 2nd Ave (The Ray Hotel) in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, I met with a white female, later identified as Dena Goldstein, the defendant. As I exited my vehicle, I could see her yelling at Ofc. Merz in the front valet area. The valet staff had stopped their duties and were drawn to the commotion. When Goldstein saw me she stated “Oh great a muslim one.” She then began to yell about us not helping her, and claiming it was because she was jewish. I informed her to calm down so we can assist her. She stated she had left some of her belongings in the hotel room.
We went inside the lobby of the hotel to confirm she had a room there. While inside, she kept yelling, jumping around, swinging her purse in the air. There were guests of the hotel and staff inside witnessing her commotion. I asked her to stop multiple times and informed her we would not help her if she continued to cause a disturbance. While in the elevator she continued her pattern of actions. She then threw her purse on the ground, approached me in a threatening manner, and kept placing her hands in my face. At this point, I detained her and she continued to yell.
Goldstein committed an act of nature to corrupt the public morals, and outrage the sense of public decency. She also affected the peace and quiet of persons who witnessed them. She engaged in such conduct as to constitute a breach of the peace or disorderly conduct. The on-site manager at the time, Christine Morrissey, requested she be trespassed from the hotel due to her behavior.
