PBSO just released the names of the people involved in Saturday’s fatal crash.

LAKE WORTH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Lake Worth man is dead after his car crossed a median, slammed into an oncoming minivan, and burst into flames early Saturday near the intersection of Jog Road and Lantana Road, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 24-year-old Kaliba Ibrahim Bobb was driving a 2026 Honda Civic north on Jog Road at a high rate of speed around 3:42 a.m. when he lost control and struck the center median just north of Lantana Road. The impact sent his car careening into the southbound lanes, where it began spinning counterclockwise. The rear passenger side of Bobb’s Civic struck the front of a southbound 2015 Toyota Sienna. Bobb’s car then veered off the roadway, hit a chain-link fence, and came to a stop — fully engulfed in flames.

Bobb, of the 5300 block of Fox Valley Trail in Lake Worth, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Sienna, 44-year-old Flor Del Rosario Elizabeth De Leon Mendez of Palm Springs, and her 17-year-old passenger, Joanna De Leon, were both taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by PBSO Traffic Homicide Investigator Lynch. No charges had been filed as of the sheriff’s office’s initial release, and next of kin have been notified.
