PALM BEACH COUNTY FIRE RESCUE RELEASES DETAILS.
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — No students were injured in Thursday morning’s crash involving a school bus and a pickup truck. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue just issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:
>> At approximately 6:35 this morning PBCFR units were dispatched to the intersection of Plantation Boulevard and W. Lantana Rd. for a reported motor vehicle crash. Units were on scene within four minutes and found a school bus versus pick-up truck alongside the eastbound lanes of Lantana Road.
There were approximately 10 students and the school bus driver on the bus at the time. None of them were transported from the scene. They were four individuals in a second vehicle. Those in the pick-up truck required heavy extrication to safely remove them from the vehicle. The last person was extricated at approximately 7:20. All four met Trauma alert criteria and were taken to a local Trauma center by ground units.
PBCFR sent 19 units to the scene. They were able to simultaneously assess those that were on the bus, provide medical treatment to the individual patients that were still entrapped in the vehicle, and also had a full extrication working group. <<
