Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Releases New Details.
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office just released new details about Thursday’s school bus crash that left three people seriously injured. It happened when a Palm Beach County school bus and a pickup truck collided at a Greenacres intersection, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported just before 7 a.m. at Lantana Road and Pine Needle Lane South, near the entrance to the Palm Beach Plantation community. PBSO says a 2018 Thomas school bus was traveling west on Lantana Road and attempting to turn left onto Pine Needle Lane South when it pulled into the path of an eastbound 2005 Ford F-150, violating the pickup’s right of way. The driver’s side of the truck struck the front of the bus, and both vehicles were pushed southwest before coming to rest near a median on Pine Needle Lane South, deputies said.
The F-150’s driver, 20-year-old Denis Quib-Cu of Lake Worth, and one of his passengers suffered serious injuries and were taken to Delray Medical Center, along with two other occupants of the truck who were hurt but in less serious condition, according to the sheriff’s office. Bus driver Michael Williams, 37, of West Palm Beach, was treated and released.
Several children aboard the school bus, along with Williams, were evaluated on scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and released without being transported to a hospital, PBSO said. No charges had been filed as of Friday, and the crash remains under investigation.
