Law Firm Changes Name. Attorney Retires. No Charges Filed.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A prominent Palm Beach County Attorney was the subject of an FBI raid conducted at his Boca Raton home in May, according to new information obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. His law firm changed its name a short time later as he announced his retirement.
Darryl Kogan, of the firm formerly know as Kogan and DiSalvo, was stopped by a Boca Raton Police Officer on the morning of May 21st as he left his home. While the traffic stop took place, FBI agents moved in and executed a search warrant. It is unclear what federal agents were looking for. A check of the federal docket of pending court cases does NOT show ANY case with Darryl Kogan as a defendant. Kogan was never taken into custody. There are no charges against him. The traffic stop did not lead to a citation.
Here’s what the Boca Raton Police Officer assigned to assist the FBI wrote in a report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com: “On May 21, 2026, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) requested assistance in executing a federal search warrant at 464 NE 8th Street, Boca Raton. The subject of the investigation was Darryl Kogan. BRPD officer (redacted) conducted a traffic stop on Kogan’s vehicle when he left the residence. I stood by while the FBI executed the residential search warrant. Once the search was completed, I left the residence. I had no further involvement. I recommend this case be classified as inactive.”
Kogan and DiSalvo rebranded as “Baker and DiSalvo” just weeks later. Darryl Kogan announced his retirement following decades of practicing law.
A request for information sent to Mr. Kogan’s email address as registered with the Florida Bar was unanswered on Thursday. An email request for comment to his former law partner, Ted DiSalvo, also was not immediately answered. The FBI did not comment on what agents were seeking while executing the search warrant. Darryl Kogan remains a member in “good standing” of the Florida Bar. He has no public record of any disciplinary action.
