MIAMI, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A plane with the Amazon Prime logo has apparently overshot the runway at Miami International Airport. There are reports of deaths. The airport is now in the midst of a ground stop.
Video posted to X shows the plane seemingly off airport property and on a nearby road.
If you are heading to MIA, check with your airline. Expect major delays. The FAA says it’s a Boeing 767-300 that was landing in Miami after flying from San Juan. An investigation is underway.
The FAA issued this update regarding the ground stop: “Departures to Miami International are grounded due to disabled aircraft on the runway. Probability of extension is medium (30-60%). Grounding applies to departures from ZLA ZAU ZLC ZTL ZDC ZNY ZHU ZJX ZFW ZOB ZDV ZOA ZSE ZBW ZMA ZKC ZME ZID ZAB ZMP.”
