BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach man is facing a reckless speeding charge after Florida Highway Patrol says he blew past troopers on Interstate 95 at nearly double the posted limit.
Stephen Andrew Paolino, 27, was driving a white Chevrolet Corvette south on I-95 near Woolbright Road late Friday night when a marked FHP patrol car paced him at approximately 125 mph in a 65 mph zone, according to the arrest report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. Troopers say the Corvette had already caught their attention weaving between the inside and inside-center lanes at an estimated 120 mph before the pace-clock confirmed the speed.
Troopers activated emergency lights and pulled Paolino over on the inside shoulder of southbound I-95 just north of Woolbright Road around 11:27 p.m. He was arrested on the spot, handcuffed and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, where he was booked just before 1 a.m. Saturday. His Corvette was towed from the scene.
Paolino faces a single misdemeanor charge under Florida Statute 316.1922(1)(a) for driving 50 mph or more over the posted speed limit. He was released on his own recognizance and is expected in court for a first appearance in October.
