DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A West Delray Beach man is in custody Saturday after the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that the man said he killed his mother. This is the official statement issued by PBSO:
>> On September 11, 2026, shortly after 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to the 5100 block of Monterey Lane in Delray Beach after Alexander Harrington contacted law enforcement and reported that he had killed his mother.
Upon arrival, deputies took Harrington into custody without incident. Deputies then entered the residence and located his mother deceased inside the home with what appeared to be stab wounds.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division responded to the scene and assumed the homicide investigation.
Alexander Harrington was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of First-Degree Murder.<<
