BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 32-year-old Boca Raton woman was arrested for DUI after police pulled over her Tesla for speeding on West Palmetto Park Road. Alyssa Brewer blew a 0.157 and a 0.154 on two breath tests, according to her arrest paperwork reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com.
The stop happened around 9:20 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, near 900 W. Palmetto Park Rd. Another officer had allegedly clocked the gray Tesla sedan at 56 mph in a posted 35 mph zone using a lidar unit, the arrest affidavit states. The arresting officer reported a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver and said her eyes were glossy and bloodshot. Brewer, according to the arrest report, told the officer she’d had one or two glasses of wine.

Brewer agreed to field sobriety exercises. The officer wrote that she showed signs of impairment on the eye-tracking test, struggled with the heel-to-toe steps on the walk-and-turn, missed the tip of her nose several times on the finger-to-nose test, and guessed 45 seconds had passed when only 30 had. She was arrested and taken to the Boca Raton Police Department for processing.
Her breath samples, taken at about 11:36 p.m. and 11:40 p.m., were nearly double Florida’s 0.08 legal limit. Brewer was then transferred to the Palm Beach County jail and later released on her own recognizance. A court date is pending.
