BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An FAA issue involving a cut fiber optic line in the northeast is leading to major delays for flights nationwide — specially those heading to northeastern airports.
Flights in and out of PBI, FLL, MIA are all affected, as are flights at other major airports nationwide.
As of just before 4 p.m., the FAA reports the following airports are having major issues for flights arriving and departing: DCA (Washington National), IAD (Washington Dulles), LGA (LaGuardia), BDL (Bradley/Hartford, CT), EWR (Newark), JFK (New York), PHL (Philadelphia), SFO (San Francisco), BOS (Boston), HPN (Westchester, NY) LAX (Los Angeles), RDU (Raleigh) and TEB (Teterboro, NJ).
