PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A West Palm Beach woman was arrested Sept. 18 and booked into the Palm Beach County jail in connection with an Aug. 23 crash on Southern Boulevard and the Jog Road overpass that killed a Lantana man, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office announced. Fany M. Rosa, 36, was the driver of one of the two vehicles involved.
PBSO tells BocaNewsNow.com that Rosa faces four charges: vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and causing the death of another, driving under the influence and causing property damage, and reckless driving causing property damage.
The crash happened at 6:06 a.m. near the Jog Road overpass in West Palm Beach. Investigators say Rosa was driving a 2017 Toyota Corolla eastbound in the westbound lanes of Southern Boulevard when her car and a westbound 2019 Honda Insight collided near the top of the overpass. Both drivers were critically injured and taken to a local hospital.
The Honda’s driver, Corey Watson, 36, died Aug. 29.
