BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Health officials are warning swimmers to stay out of the water at three Palm Beach County beaches after tests turned up elevated bacteria levels, including two spots along the Boynton Beach and Ocean Ridge coastline.
The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County issued the water quality advisory for Ocean Inlet Park at 6990 N. Ocean Blvd. in Boynton Beach, the Boynton Beach site at 6415 N. Ocean Blvd. in Ocean Ridge, and DuBois Park at 19075 DuBois Road in Jupiter. Samples taken Monday, Sept. 21, showed Enterococcus bacteria levels that fail to meet the state’s recreational water quality criteria.
The department advises against any water-related activity at the three sites because of an increased risk of illness in swimmers.
The advisory stays in effect until bacteria levels fall below the accepted health standard. The samples were collected during regular water quality monitoring, and test results are posted at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches.
