BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — I-95 is completely closed as of 4:40 p.m. following a crash in the northbound lanes near Copans Road in North Broward County. The crash led to a rollover. A body was apparently ejected from a vehicle onto the ground.
All traffic is being diverted from I-95 NB onto the Copans Road exit. FDOT cameras show massive delays that extend for what we believe to be miles. Your best bet: get off I-95 well before Copans and find another way to go north. Rejoin the interstate at 10th street or further north.

We have no specifics about the crash other than it involved multiple vehicles and was reported around 4:15 p.m.
We’ll update once we receive more from FHP, but assume the delays will continue well into the evening. Fatal accident investigations traditionally span several hours from the time of death.
