DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach woman who told police she is living with a critical illness was arrested for DUI. A breath test, according to police, revealed her breath alcohol content was more than four times the legal limit

Claire Hultin of NE 4th Street in Delray Beach was stopped on October 2nd in the Checkers parking lot at 460 West Atlantic Avenue. She was allegedly observed having a problem parking — multiple times — then she allegedly drove over the curb. She then, according to police, hit an unoccupied vehicle.

Police wrote in a report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com that she admitted to drinking the day before at a family member’s home in Pompano Beach. She said she suffered from two serious issues for which she takes medications. Those medications list “dizziness” as a side effect.

Hultin, according to police, provided breath samples of .370 and .378. The legal limit in Florida is .08. Hultin was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on $2,000 bond. She has been ordered not to drive.
