UPDATE: Delray Beach PD confirms to BocaNewsNow.com that the deceased is a pedestrian and not someone in a vehicle.
DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — One person is dead after apparently being struck by a Tri-Rail train around 1:50 this afternoon.
BocaNewsNow.com has learned the incident occurred just north of Linton in the area of Congress. The tracks in that area run just west of I-95. No one on the train was injured.
Delray Beach Fire Rescue and Delray Beach Police remain on the scene as of 2:10 p.m. It is unclear if the deceased was involved in an accident or if that person was attempting to commit suicide by train.
